Travel Guide to Savannah, Georgia
Eat, Drink, Walk, Shop: Savannah, Georgia
My two sisters and I and my sisters boyfriend decided to adventure to Georgia for the day, only a few hours from Florida where we were staying. We had a full day from start to finish in Savannah, filled with lots of stops, pictures, and tons of food and drinks! Such a fun time!
We were only there for the day, but Savannah is the cutest little town: full of great food, good coffee, and even better cocktails! Savannah has haunted hotels & spaces, cute shops, awesome restaurants and more. I'll share with you all the places we had time to hit- so hopefully you can explore there too one day!
We started off our day parking on River street and walking our way through some restaurants to stop for drinks, local pop up markets, and making our way through fun looking shops. One cool thing about Savannah, is that it reminds me a little of Bourbon street or Vegas, why? Because you can sip on as many drinks as you'd like as you're walking down the cobblestone streets. I had some great Bloody Mary's, a fresh grapefruit cocktail, local beers and more. A lot of the places also have souvenir glasses you can take with you to go and fill up other places too!
The local pop up shops were awesome, full of local jewelry, sauces, foods, bags, clothing, etc. I bought some tangy country BBQ sauce for the hubby, and it's freakin' delicious. Along the way of walking there were adorable little candy shops, dog bakeries, thrift shops and more. Stopping by the shops even just to look was fun!
The first place we stopped to grab a FLUFFY delicious snack was at Huey's on the River. Here they are known for their beignets. If you haven't ever had a beignet before...they are pretty much life changing. Light, fluffy, warm pillows of heaven. They even served them with a side of homemade praline sauce. Yumzo.
After we devoured a dozen of these babies, we were on our way!
